Background
Halkin, a provider of flexible workspaces in London, aimed to create a modern, versatile office environment at their newest office space, Mainframe. Located in a historic building that has been transformed into a modern space, Halkin Mainframe features a bright, modern design and a variety of working environments, including private offices, shared workstations, meeting rooms and a multi-functional event space.
Goals
The core focus of the project was to equip six meeting rooms with simple to use, yet versatile AV systems. Halkin required a solution that supported dedicated Zoom systems while also offering BYOD functionality, allowing all users to bring their own devices and work on any video conferencing platform seamlessly. Ease of use was a major priority for the customer.
Solution
To meet Halkin’s requirements, the integration specialist Tateside deployed multiple AV technologies. They selected Neat Board Pro systems, configured with Zoom Rooms software to provide a reliable videoconferencing platform in each meeting room.
To address the BYOD functionality, Tateside integrated Ashton Bentley BX USB-C Breakout Hubs in the six meeting rooms. These hubs allow users to simply walk in with their personal device and connect to the conferencing ecosystem. The diminutive BX boxes were installed discreetly under the desks, ensuring a clean and elegant setup.
Value
Halkin’s new AV setup delivers a seamless experience that matches the premium quality of its workspaces. Users benefit from an intuitive setup where they can either use dedicated Zoom Rooms or instantly connect their own devices, relying on the BX USB-C Breakout Hub. Jack Cornish adds:
